Today Wordle No. 1433 Hints & Answer for May 22, 2025

Hello everyone! It’s Thursday, May 22, 2025, and we’re back again to tackle another Wordle puzzle together. Today’s starting word came from a fun suggestion by motion99998, who said:

“I started with 'ood' and got it in two… oodles of new user to you!”

That was a sweet wish, and while “ood” isn’t actually on the Wordle word list, the spirit was spot on! So instead, I went back to an old classic I haven’t used in a while: canoe. Let’s dive into today’s Wordle!

Today's Wordle Hints – May 22, 2025

General Hints:

  • The word has two vowels.

  • It's something you might see in a library or a printing house.

  • Think of paper—but not just any paper. This one’s about pages with purpose.

Example-Based Hints:

  • Book Collector’s Dream: A rare first-edition Shakespeare might come in one of these.

  • Portfolio Style: Artists or designers might carry one to showcase their work.

  • Office Files: Before the digital era, many documents were kept inside this.

If you don’t want the Wordle answer spoiled, don’t scroll further! But if you're ready to reveal it, let’s solve it step by step.

Let’s Solve Today’s Wordle

First Guess: Canoe
A nostalgic choice and a good mix of common vowels and consonants. We hit on just one letter: O in yellow. Not much, but it’s a start.

Second Guess: Storm

Trying to reposition the ‘O’ and explore new letters like S, T, R, and M. But storm didn’t bring the thunder—‘O’ stayed yellow, and the rest were ruled out.

Third Guess: Would

Now we’re experimenting with vowel combinations. With ‘O’ in the second spot and new letters introduced, this guess was key! We got a green O and a yellow L. Finally, some traction.

Fourth Guess: Lobby

This tested the placement of L and introduced some high-frequency letters. Unfortunately, nothing hit. All grey. We’re in dangerous territory now—only two guesses left.

Fifth Guess: Polio

I had to think carefully here. Polio helped confirm a few positions. We got a clearer picture: O, I, and the final O were all green. We were so close—just one letter off!

Sixth Guess: Folio

This was it. With all the clues aligned, folio was the only word that made sense. A single, confident tap… and boom!

Today’s Wordle Answer: Folio

Success on the final guess! A folio is a type of book format or a folder for loose papers—especially used in printing, art, or libraries. It’s not an everyday word, but definitely a classy one.

Tomorrow’s Word

For Friday, May 23, we’re going with a bold and quirky pick: Queue. It’s one of those rare words with five letters but only two unique ones. Should be fun!
