Hey, Wordlers! Happy Monday — it’s June 9th, 2025, and you know what time it is… time to wake up those brains and dive into another round of Mortle magic.
I’m back, with your friendly puzzle guide, and we’ve got a fresh request from the comments today.
Shoutout to Nancy Cesario 9206, who asked us to start with the word… LILAC.
Great pick, Nancy — soft, floral, and surprisingly underused. I double-checked, and yeah — we’ve never opened with it. So let’s plant that seed and see what grows.

⚠️ Spoiler Warning!
If you haven’t played today’s Wordle yet, pause here. Otherwise, let’s solve it together.
Let’s Solve the Puzzle
First Guess: LILAC
Let’s go!
⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜
Okay — not bad! We’ve got an A in the mix, just not in the right spot. The rest of the word is a wash, but hey, I’ll take a vowel clue over a cold start any day.
Let’s think… time to play the classic middle-vowel strategy. I love when we can lock that down early.
Second Guess: SNARE
Yeah, let’s double down on those popular letters — S, N, A, R, E — all-stars in the letter frequency game. Maybe we’ll snag something useful.
⬜⬜🟩🟩⬜
OHHH okay now we’re talking! The A is locked in the center, and R joins the party in slot 4. Suddenly, this is starting to take shape.
Let’s pause. Think.
We’ve ruled out C from LILAC, so CHART is out. CHARM, also gone.
S is out… so words like SWARM? Nah.
This puzzle’s definitely cutting off some branches.
Third Guess: BOARD
Hear me out — we haven’t tried B, O, or D yet. And the vowel+consonant combo here works with the A and R placement perfectly.
Let’s toss it in and hope we hit pay dirt.
⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
BOOM! NAILED IT.
That’s how it’s done, folks. Four guesses in, and we’re back in the winner’s circle. Big thanks to Nancy for the LILAC start — that little purple flower helped guide us to the finish.
Final Thoughts
Today’s solve was a great example of elimination, logic, and trusting the vibes. Once we saw A and R fall into place, BOARD started to float to the top — especially with CHARM, CHART, and SWARM all out of the picture.
Let me know in the comments how YOU did! Did you sniff out BOARD faster than I did? Or did you fall into the CHART/CHARM trap?
Tomorrow’s teaser? We’re starting with PAYPAL — yep, the payment giant. And I’ve got a fun trivia tidbit about that word you won’t want to miss.
Thanks again for reading. I’ll see you tomorrow for another puzzle, another journey, and maybe… just maybe… another perfect solve.
Stay sharp, Wordlers!
