Today Wordle No 1235 Clue - November 5, 2024

Well, hello everyone! It’s Tuesday, November 5, 2024. I’m Doug, and we’re back with another Wordle adventure. Today’s puzzle kept me on my toes, and I can’t wait to walk you through my guessing process. A warm shout-out to David and Helen (4657); it’s always great to have you with us! Let’s cut to the chase—literally, as my first word for today was "Chase"!

Today Wordle Hints

  • Number of Vowels: The word contains two vowels.
  • First Letter: The word begins with the letter ‘O.’
  • Repeated Letters: There are repeated letters in today’s word.

Example Hint:

  • It’s the term used for a group of eight. Think about a number that comes right after seven and would typically appear in a pack, like in sports, science, or the arts.

If you want the answer then you can read the article the answer is at the end of the article.

The First Guess: Chase

Starting with Chase gave me a promising start. It revealed two letters—C and E—but both were out of position. This was a decent foundation, though it left me with plenty of possible arrangements to test. My first thought was to see if I could move those letters around to make a word that would help narrow down their positions.

Second Guess: Recon

For my next guess, I chose Recon. This added R, O, and N to the mix, which I felt could be useful letters to try. While Recon wasn’t the answer, it did reveal that the letter O was in the puzzle, though still out of position along with C, E, and now O. A tough board indeed!

Narrowing It Down

After my first two guesses, I was facing a bit of a dilemma. None of the letters had found their places yet, and I was struggling to figure out where the tricky E might fit. I kept thinking about different positions for the C and E, but nothing was quite working. I was tempted to test words that would help me rule out unlikely positions.

The Hail Mary: Full Evaluation Attempt

At this point, I was stumped. I decided it was time to take a chance and go for a full evaluation word, even though it’s not my preferred method. I chose Guilt, which helped me rule out U and I as potential players. It didn’t seem like the best strategy initially, but it revealed that T and E were in position at the end of the word, giving me a breakthrough!

The Aha Moment: Octet

With T and E secured in their positions, the pieces finally started to fall into place. I realized that the letters C and O likely belonged at the start of the word, leading me to Octet. This was it! After two full evaluations, Octet turned out to be the answer.

Today wordle no 1235 answer

This puzzle was a classic Wordle brain-teaser. For the second day in a row, using a complete evaluation word saved the day. It’s a strategy I don’t usually rely on, but sometimes it’s exactly what you need to find the solution. Octet isn’t the most common word, so I imagine some of you had similar struggles today. Let me know in the comments if this one tripped you up as well!
