Let’s Solve the Puzzle
First guess: TREAD
Let’s toss it in the Wordle blender...
⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜
Okay, okay — we’ve got an E and an A, but they’re out of position. Not bad at all. Plenty of vowel action to work with right off the bat.
So what’s next?
Well, if you’ve been playing with me for a while, you probably know where my brain’s going…
I love vowels in the middle. E can’t be in the middle here, but A? A’s still in play for that cozy third spot.
What if we tuck that E at the end instead? Something like… hmm… SHALE?
Second Guess: SHALE
Let’s try SHALE — we’re mining for vowels today!
🟨⬜🟩🟨🟩
Ooooh wow! Look at this haul.
We’ve locked in the A and E, and now S and L have joined the party — just not in the right spots.
This is starting to look very promising.
Let’s map it out.
-
S and L are yellow — so they’re in the word but misplaced.
-
A and E are green — perfect spots in the 3rd and 4th positions.
What if S goes in the fourth spot? That would make a lot more sense. The second spot seems unlikely with these pieces.
So maybe something like:
⬜ ⬜ ⬜ S E
No, wait — A is third. That gives us:
⬜ ⬜ A S E
Now that’s a real shape forming.
And if L has to go somewhere... maybe right up front?
LEASE anyone?
Third Guess: LEASE
Let’s try LEASE — it fits everything we’ve figured out.
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
YES! There it is — LEASE is the answer!
Tomorrow Word
Now normally, I might hesitate with a word that doubles a vowel — it’s a bit of a trap sometimes — but today? It was the perfect fit. Once we cracked the S placement, the rest fell into place like a well-oiled crossword puzzle.
Three guesses, clean and efficient. You love to see it.
And hey, wherever you're Wordling from today, I hope it's sunny, relaxing, and filled with tiny wins — like this one.
