Today Wordle Hints and Answer for March 23, 2025

Well, hello everyone! It’s Sunday, March 23, 2025, and as always, bringing you another thrilling round of Wordle. Today’s game comes with a special challenge from our good friend and longtime viewer, Seamus McJohnson. Seamus suggested that if I was ever feeling gutsy again, I should start with the word gusto. Now, I wasn’t aware that I had stopped being gutsy, but I’ll take the challenge anyway. So, let’s dive in and see how gusto sets us up for today’s puzzle.

Today's Wordle Hints – March 23, 2025

General Hints:

  • The word contains two vowels.

  • It does not have any repeated letters.

  • It is associated with a particular character from a classic Disney movie.

  • It describes someone who may appear sleepy or sluggish.

Example-Based Hints:

A Sleepy Morning:
After staying up too late watching movies, a student wakes up feeling groggy and unfocused. They move slowly, rubbing their eyes, barely able to keep their head up. What word describes their sluggish state?

A Long Car Ride:
A child in the backseat of a road trip yawns as they lean against the window. Their eyelids droop, and they feel too tired to pay attention to the passing scenery. What word describes how they feel?

A Classic Fairy Tale:
In a famous animated movie, a princess befriends seven miners who each have unique personalities. One of them always looks drowsy, his eyes half-closed, and he rarely says much. What is his name?

A Lazy Afternoon:
After a big meal, someone lounges on the couch, their head resting against a pillow. They stretch out and let out a deep yawn, feeling too sluggish to do anything productive. What word describes their sleepy demeanor?

First Guess: Gusto

First Guess: Gusto

With gusto as our starting word, I initially thought we were going to get nothing—but then, right at the last second, the ‘O’ appeared in yellow, meaning it’s in the word but in the wrong place. Not the worst outcome, but it does mean I’ll need to move it around in my next guess. Now, the challenge is finding a word that makes the most of this limited information while also introducing some new letters.

Second Guess: Poach

Second Guess: Poach

I decided to go with poach for my second guess. This word not only moves the ‘O’ but also brings in ‘P’, ‘A’, and ‘C’, which are all strong consonants that might be helpful. Typically, I’d place the ‘O’ in the middle, but today, I wanted to mix things up and keep things interesting. The result? Success! The ‘O’ is now in the correct position, and we have a new letter to consider: ‘P’, which is in the word but not in the right spot. This is a great development because it significantly narrows down our options.

Third Guess: Moped

Third Guess: Moped

Given that the ‘P’ isn’t in the first position, I started thinking about possible placements. The middle position seemed like a reasonable option, and the word moped came to mind. Now, I wasn’t entirely sure if moped would be in Wordle’s word list, since it’s often used as a brand name, but there was only one way to find out. I typed it in and hit enter. The result was even better than expected—now, the letters ‘O’, ‘P’, and ‘E’ were all in the correct position, with only the ‘D’ needing to be placed elsewhere. At this point, it was just a matter of finding the final letter.

Fourth Guess: Dopey

Fourth Guess: Dopey

With ‘D’ being the only letter left to place, the solution became clear: the word had to be dopey. Now, I had a brief moment of hesitation. Was dopey one of the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? I was fairly certain, but my track record with Disney characters isn’t always perfect, as some of you may have noticed from my Connections videos. Regardless, dopey seemed like the only logical choice. Before locking it in, I took a moment to revive an old Sunday tradition—saying the final guess out loud together. For those watching at the grocery store or in public places, I hope you joined in!

And just like that, dopey was the correct answer! Another successful Wordle solve, and what an interesting journey it was. From nearly striking out with gusto to the satisfying placement of letters with moped, it was a game full of twists and turns.

Tomorrow Word

Tomorrow’s game should be an interesting one, as I’ll be starting with the word bread. Now, as someone following a low-carb lifestyle, this choice is a bit ironic, but I’ll do my best to resist any cravings.

See you all tomorrow for another round of Wordle!
