Today Wordle No. 1162 Hints and Answer for August 24, 2024

Well, everyone, it's Saturday, August 24th, 2024 and it’s time once again to play some Wordle! Today, I’m starting with the word "Apple." I like this word—it’s a classic, and, as some of you might know, I’m quite the Apple guy. Honestly, I’m such an Apple enthusiast that I sometimes forget the name of the other major phone brand!

Today Wordle Hints

Before we dive into today's Wordle adventure, let's talk about some hints for solving the puzzle. These clues might just give you the edge you need to crack the code quickly:

To give you a head start, here are some helpful hints:

  • Number of Vowels: Today’s Wordle contains two vowels.
  • First Letter: The first letter of today’s word is a consonant.
  • Repeated Letters: There are no repeated letters in today’s word.
  • General Tip: Think about words that might involve culinary or dining terms.

Now, let’s jump into the example and see how I tackled today’s challenge.

So, let's go with "Apple," shall we?

First Guess: Apple

Today, I'm starting with "Apple." For those who've asked, am I an Apple guy or an iOS guy? Well, let's just say I'm such an Apple guy that I don’t even remember what the other phone type is called. So, let's go with "Apple."

Here we go. We have an "L" and an "E" out of position. Not a bad start. You know what they say, an apple a day...but let’s see what we've got here. With "L" and "E" in play, there are plenty of possibilities.

Next Guess: Loner

I’m thinking of moving the "L" over a bit. Let’s try "Loner." Testing "O," "N," and "R" could give us valuable information. It's probably not the answer, but it’s worth a shot.

Nope, not the answer, but we did lock in the "E" in the fourth spot. The "L" is still at large, though. Maybe it’s time to explore placing the "L" in the third or even the second spot.

Third Guess: Bevel

Could it be something like "Bevel"? I know, it’s a bit of a shot in the dark, but sometimes you just have to go with your gut. Let’s see how this pans out.

Well, "Bevel" wasn’t the answer, but it did give us some critical information. We now know the "L" isn’t at the end, and there’s no double "E" involved. Time to reassess.

Fourth Guess: Tiled

Let’s visualize this: "L" in the third spot, "E" in the fourth. I’m thinking "Tiled." Testing "T," "I," and "D" seems like a good move here. It could provide the clarity we need.

Look at that! We’ve got "I," "L," and "E" all in the right spots, and the letter "T" is showing up in yellow. So we’re looking for a word that fits the pattern: _ I L E T.

Final Answer: Filet

Today Wordle No. 1162 Hints and Answer for August 24, 2024

I’m pretty confident now. It’s got to be "Filet." Unless there’s some obscure word I’ve never heard of, this has to be it. Let’s lock it in.

Yes! The answer is indeed "Filet." I’m not going to lie, I was a bit nervous there towards the end. But we made it through from "Apple" to "Filet" in five guesses.

That’s the story of today’s game. How did you do? Let me know in the comments! Tomorrow is Sunday, and we’re going to start with the word "Faith." I hope you had a good one, enjoyed Reading, and I'll see you tomorrow for some more Wordle fun.
