NYT Today's Wordle No. 1241 Hints and Answer for November 11, 2024

Hello, everyone! It’s Monday, November 11, 2024. Grab your morning coffee and join me as we dive into today’s Wordle challenge. Today’s strategy is inspired by ET: The Extraterrestrial, so we’re starting with the word extra—let’s see if we can “phone home” with the answer!

Today Wordle Hints

  • Number of Vowels: The word contains two vowels.
  • First Letter: The word begins with the letter ‘S.’
  • Repeated Letters: There are no repeated letters in today’s wordle.

Example Hint:

  • Think of words related to being calm, strong, or unreactive in tough situations.
  • It describes someone who doesn’t easily show emotion, even in stressful moments.
Here are some hints to help you guess today’s answer, If you still need answer then follow me along or you can find the answer at the end.

The Starting Word: Extra

As we begin with extra, I couldn’t resist the reference to ET and the idea of making “contact” with the solution. Starting with "extra," we uncover a T, but it’s out of position. Not bad for a first guess! A little ET magic, perhaps?

Second Guess: Touch

With the T in play, it’s time to try out more classic vowels. My next guess is touch, hoping to move the T and add new letters. Let’s see if this leads us closer. Guess what? We’ve hit the jackpot—adding O and C to our letters, though they’re all out of position.

With T, O, and C at our disposal, I start to think about words with O in the middle, flanked by consonants. We’ve seen this structure pay off in previous Wordle games. I quickly test possibilities in my mind: could C be up front? How about clout or cloth? Unfortunately, these don’t fit since I’ve already tested H and U.

Third Guess: Stoic

Suddenly, it hits me—stoic! I have a good feeling about this. It checks all the boxes, with O safely positioned in the middle and S, T, and C filling in perfectly around it. Could this be it?

Drumroll, please… Yes! The answer is stoic. Got it in three!

Today’s puzzle reminded me of a useful approach: when you spot a lone O out of position, consider placing it in the middle with consonants on both sides. This simple pattern often reveals the answer in a way that keeps your guesses focused.

Tomorrow, I’m planning a fun twist: a “numbers-oriented” Wordle, starting with the word three.
