Today's Wordle No. 1237 Hints and Answer for November 7, 2024

Hello everyone! It’s Thursday, November 7, 2024, and I am here to dive into today’s Wordle challenge! Today's starting word, suggested by John Doe (DB3Y), is "Mouse". He cleverly pointed out that while it may be known as the world’s most ubiquitous pointing device, today, it’s our entry point into the Wordle puzzle! Let’s see how we fare.

Today Wordle Hints

  • Number of Vowels: The word contains two vowels.
  • First Letter: The word begins with the letter ‘E.’
  • Repeated Letters: There are repeated letters in today’s word.

Example Hint:

  • It can refer to an occasion, an activity, or an occurrence, particularly one that might bring people together or be planned.

First Guess: Starting with "Mouse"

As we try our luck with Mouse, things look a bit shaky at first, with only one letter revealing itself: an E out of position. Not a bad start, but not exactly a jackpot either. Let’s keep that E in mind and move forward with a strategic approach.

Second Guess: Going with the Gut - "Reach"

Recently, I’ve been leaning into instinct on my second guesses, allowing my gut to guide me. Today, it brought me to the word "Reach." This choice evaluates several common letters—R, E, A, C, and H—giving us more potential insights.

With "Reach," we now know that:

  • The E has shifted positions, but still isn't locked in.
  • We’re eliminating common letters, bringing us closer to the answer.

Next Move:

Now, here's where things get interesting. With no confirmed position for our E, I wonder: could we have a double E somewhere? I've also yet to evaluate T, and it’s tempting to try something like "tweet," but testing just one new consonant seems wasteful at this stage.

Instead, I think about potential configurations:

  • What if we had E _ E in various spots?
  • This approach would help us solve the riddle of the elusive E with certainty.

After some mental juggling, I decide to test two Es with the word "Event"—a choice that feels right for its strategic consonants V, N, and T.

Third Guess: "Event"!

Well, what do you know? Sometimes your first instincts really pay off! Testing the double E with "Event" was the right move, and it cracked the puzzle wide open. This gut-driven choice delivered a three-guess victory today.

Wordle No 1237 answer

It seems this week’s theme is all about trusting intuition, and today’s solution only reinforces that feeling. I’m curious to hear how everyone else fared—share your experiences in the comments! And don’t forget, tomorrow is Fearless Friday, where we’ll amp up the challenge by using a playful but unconventional starting word. I’ve decided to go with "Fuzzy" for tomorrow, inspired by Fozzie Bear.
