Today's Connections Answers

Spoiler Warning! The answers to today's Connections puzzle are revealed below. If you want to solve it on your own, stop reading now! Scroll down only if you want to find the answer.

First Category: Championship Teams:

At first, I thought these were just team names, but after submitting, I was met with a shocking surprise—the category was "Member of a team with the most championships in their respective sports"! And it was in the yellow category!

This was unexpected, as this kind of categorization usually feels more fitting for the purple difficulty level. I was momentarily thrown off and even questioned whether this was a real puzzle!

I immediately noticed a pattern related to sports team names:

  • New York Yankees (Baseball)

  • Boston Celtics (Basketball)

  • Green Bay Packers (Football)

  • Montreal Canadiens (Hockey)

Second Category: Macaroni Art Supplies:

Next, I spotted a group related to childhood arts and crafts:

These are all classic supplies used in macaroni art, a staple craft activity from childhood. Submitting this set confirmed it as the blue category!

  • Macaroni

  • Glitter

  • Glue

  • Paper

Third Category: Hairstyling Techniques:

For the green category, I noticed that these words all relate to hairstyling techniques:

Each of these terms is used to describe ways of adding texture and volume to hair. Another successful category found!

  • Crimp

  • Curl

  • Feather

  • Tease

Final Category: "Golden" Words

This left us with four remaining words:

  • Goose

  • Parachute

  • Rod

  • Doodle

I was stumped for a while, but the answer turned out to be words that follow "Golden":

  • Golden Goose

  • Golden Parachute

  • Golden Rod

  • Golden Doodle

Final Thoughts

This puzzle had one of the strangest yellow categories I’ve ever seen, with an unusually long and specific name. Typically, a category this complex would be in the purple slot, but today, it threw me for a loop!

Despite the initial confusion, I had fun figuring out the rest of the puzzle. Let me know in the comments how you did, and as always, I’ll see you tomorrow for another round of Connections!

Happy puzzling!
