First Connection: Levels of Biological Organization
Looking at the words, one group stood out immediately—Tissue, Organ, Cell, and Atom. These represent different levels of biological organization:
An organ is made up of tissues
Tissues are made of cells
Cells are made of atoms
Atom
Since biology has always been a fascinating subject for me, this one was an easy pick. That’s one category down!
Second Connection: Words Ending in Units of Measure
Next, I noticed something interesting with some of the words: Bigfoot, Thermometer, Instagram, and Compound. At first glance, they don’t seem related, but looking closer:
Bigfoot ends with foot
Thermometer ends with meter
Instagram ends with gram
Compound ends with pound
All of these words end in units of measurement! That was our second group.
Third Connection: Contacting Someone via Telephone
For the third set, I considered words related to telecommunication:
Dial someone
Ring someone
Call someone
Phone someone
These all relate to making a phone call. The category was clear: Contact via Telephone.
Fourth Connection: Parts of a Car
That left the last four words:
- Mirror
- Horn
- Belt
- Wheel
Conclusion
Today's puzzle was quite interesting! Unlike some days where pop culture references make it tricky, this one was more straightforward. The biological organization and units of measure categories were especially easy to spot.
After a rough start to the week, it’s great to see things turning around with two solid performances in a row.
How did you do with today’s Connections? Let me know in the comments! And, as always, I’ll see you tomorrow for another round.
Happy puzzling!
