Today's Wordle No. 1346 Hints and Answer for February 24, 2025

Well, everyone, it's Monday, February 24, 2025, and it's time once again to dive into another round of Wordle! Today, we're kicking things off with some insight from a good friend our community, Contrarian. He reminded me of a previous puzzle where I got fixated on words ending in "AK"—like Quack and Knack—but completely overlooked the letter "I," which was still in play. That was a bit of a misstep on my part, but I love getting feedback that connects past puzzles to current strategies.

So, in honor of Contrarian’s contribution, I’ll start today’s Wordle with Aback. I mentioned this word at the end of yesterday’s episode, and I don’t think we’ve used it before. Let’s see where it takes us!

The First Guess: Aback

Not bad! The letter A is locked in the middle position. I love seeing vowels in the center—I’ve realized over the past few months that this is my favorite kind of puzzle. There’s just something enjoyable about working around a central vowel.

Now, I want to try another word that includes a different vowel while incorporating strong consonants. My first thought is Share, but if I want to maximize the most commonly used letters, I should tweak it. After reconsidering, I decide to go with Stare instead. It’s a classic Wordle strategy—getting as many high-frequency letters into play as early as possible.

The Second Guess: Stare

Well, that didn’t quite work out. S, T, R, and E are all out of play. But I don’t regret this guess at all! It helped eliminate four major letters, which will narrow down our options significantly.

Now, let’s take a moment to regroup. L and N are still available, and we’ve got vowels I, O, and U to consider. I briefly think about Poach, but the C from Back rules it out. I also toy with Plank, but I already tested the K.

The Third Guess: Gland

Wordle No. 1346 Answer

After some deliberation, I land on Gland. It checks all the boxes—introducing four strong consonants while keeping our central A intact. This feels like a solid guess.

And just like that… Gland is the correct answer!

Another win, and yet again, my strategy of focusing on center-position vowels proves successful. Maybe I should write a book about it—The Joy of Center Vowels in Wordle. Surely, it would be a bestseller, right? Well, maybe not, but hey, it’s working for me!
