Today's Wordle No. 1348 Hints and Answer for February 26, 2025
Hello everyone! It’s Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and it’s time once again to play some Wordle.
Today, we’re diving into another exciting round, but first, let’s address a comment from Ronnie G CPR, who asked: have you ever started with the word 'Salet' before?
Now, if you have read my yesterday’s post, you’ll know that I always preview the next day's starting word at the end. And sometimes, hilarity ensues. Yesterday was one of those days—I had no idea what 'Salet' meant at the time and mistakenly assumed it was a Valentine’s Day chocolate brand. Turns out, it’s actually a type of helmet. Oops. That’s my official response to that: Oopsies!
Nonetheless, let’s get to today’s puzzle!
Today's Wordle Hints:
General Hints:
- The word has two vowels.
- There is a repeated letter.
- It is a common five-letter noun.
- It is something given in recognition of achievement.
Example-Based Hints:
- This word is often given at ceremonies and competitions.
- If you excel in a contest, you might receive this.
- The Oscars, Grammys, and Nobel Prize all fall into this category.
Today's Wordle Answer:
First Guess: Salet
Starting with 'Salet,' we get an A out of position. Not bad! Now, I haven’t done this in a few weeks, but it’s time for the strategic second guess: Audio—the classic evaluation word that covers four vowels and a consonant.
Second Guess: Audio
So, what comes after 'A' and includes a 'D'?
Third Guess: Award
How about other 'Ada' words? Hmm… Adage? No, 'G' is untested, and I want more coverage.
Then, it hits me.
I realize that 'W' could work, and suddenly the word Award jumps out at me! It fits the criteria perfectly:
A is in position one
D is included
We get to test W and R as well
Third Guess: Award
Yes! That’s the answer! Gold star for me! Solving it in three guesses feels pretty good.
Wordle has been a cultural phenomenon for over three years now, yet there’s never been a Wordle convention or an official Wordle awards show. Wouldn’t that be fun? Maybe someone should pitch the New York Times on making it happen. If they do, I’d love to at least be in the audience. Just a thought!
Tomorrow’s Starting Word: Binge
Tomorrow is already Thursday—unbelievable! We’re going to start with Binge, and we’ll keep playing Wordle until we can Wordle no more!
If you enjoy Wordle content, consider commenting. See you all tomorrow for another round!
