Well, everyone, it's Sunday, March 16, 2025, and it's time once again to play Wordle! and today, we're diving into another round of word-guessing fun. Before we begin, a quick shoutout to my good friend, Worst Workshop, who also has a fantastic YouTube channel under the same name. If you're into fun and creative projects, I highly recommend checking it out.

March can be warm or cold, but one thing is certain—it’s always windy. I liked that thought a lot, so I decided to kick off today's Wordle with the word WINDY to see where it would take us.

Today's Wordle Hints – March 16, 2025

General Hints:

  • The word contains one vowel.
  • It does not have any repeated letters.
  • It is a common five-letter word related to documents and authentication.
  • It is often used to mark approval or official recognition.

Example-Based Hints:

An Official Seal:
A clerk sits at their desk, reviewing an important document. With a final glance, they pick up a small tool and press it firmly onto the paper, leaving behind an inked mark. This mark signifies approval, authenticity, and official recognition. Without it, the document might not be considered valid. What is the name of this important marking tool?

A Collector’s Passion:
In an old wooden drawer, a collection of small, colorful squares is neatly arranged in an album. Each one tells a story—of places visited, messages sent, and history preserved. Some are rare, others are common, but all share the same purpose: allowing letters and postcards to travel across the world. What is the name of this tiny adhesive item that plays a crucial role in mailing?

A Nostalgic Childhood Hobby:
As a child, you might have had a special book where you carefully placed colorful designs, pressing them down to make sure they stuck just right. You’d trade them with friends, finding joy in collecting unique ones. Whether they featured cartoons, animals, or glittery patterns, they were always a fun way to decorate notebooks and crafts. What is the name of these adhesive collectibles?

A Necessary Office Supply:
In a busy office, an employee sorts through a stack of envelopes, making sure each one is ready to be sent. To finalize the process, they reach for a small object, press it onto the corner of each envelope, and ensure the mail is properly marked. Without this, letters wouldn’t reach their destinations. What is this small but essential mailing item?

First Guess: WINDY

I had high hopes for my starting word, but unfortunately, it didn't yield any hits. Not a single letter from "WINDY" appeared in today's puzzle. But no regrets—sometimes, you have to take a shot in the dark and see what happens. Now, with no confirmed letters, I had the freedom to pick any word I wanted for my second guess.

Second Guess: SLATE

Since "WINDY" gave me nothing, I needed a fresh set of letters. I opted for SLATE, a strong strategic word with commonly used letters. It had been a while since I used "SLATE" in this kind of situation, and I figured, why not?

And what a result! S and A landed in the correct positions, and T was present but misplaced. That was a huge improvement from my first guess. Now, with "S-A-T" in play, I had some serious thinking to do.

Third Guess: STARK

With S and A locked in place and T somewhere else, I had quite a few possibilities to consider. Words like START, STAMP, STACK, STARK, and STAFF came to mind. I quickly realized there were more potential answers than I initially thought.

Since "K" seemed to show up a lot in the words I was considering, I decided on STARK as my next attempt. It was a strategic move—it would test for "START" as well as "STACK" in one go.

Sadly, STARK was not the answer. However, it confirmed that S, T, and A were in the right places, and it ruled out a few other options. With "STARK" eliminated, I now had a clearer path forward.

Fourth Guess: STAMP

At this point, the remaining strong candidates were STAMP and STAFF. I felt pretty confident that there wasn’t a repeated "A" in the answer, so STAMP seemed like the best bet. It was a crucial moment because I only had two guesses left.

Holding my breath, I typed in STAMP

And it was correct!

I have to admit, this game had a bit of luck on my side. My second guess, "SLATE," was a fantastic choice that narrowed things down quickly. However, I almost fell into the trap of too many possibilities. When you see multiple valid options, it’s important to take a step back and think strategically about which guess gives you the best odds.

Looking Ahead to Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Monday, and it’s also St. Patrick’s Day! In honor of the occasion, I’ll be starting with the word SAINT. I hope you’ll join me for another round of Wordle fun.

If you enjoyed this, don’t forget to comment—I really appreciate it! See you all tomorrow for another exciting puzzle!
