Today Wordle Hints and Answer for March 20, 2025

Well, everyone, it's Thursday, March 20, 2025, and you know what that means—it's time to play some Wordle, and today’s game kicks off with a suggestion from Jasper Pollson 7122, who simply writes, "I like these." Short, sweet, and to the point. I suspect that was a subtle way of suggesting "Charm" as our starting word, and I must say, I’m quite charmed by the idea myself. So, let’s see if this lucky charm brings us some good fortune today.

Today's Wordle Hints – March 20, 2025

General Hints:

The word contains two vowels.
It does not have any repeated letters.
It is a common five-letter word related to cooking and food preparation.
It is often associated with keeping something moist and flavorful.

Example-Based Hints:

A Chef’s Secret:
In a busy restaurant kitchen, a chef carefully takes a spoon and drizzles hot, seasoned butter over a roasting turkey. This process ensures the meat stays juicy and flavorful until it’s ready to be served. What cooking technique is the chef using?

A Holiday Tradition:
It’s Thanksgiving, and the family gathers around the oven, eagerly awaiting the meal. Every half hour, someone takes a ladle and pours savory juices over the golden-brown turkey to keep it from drying out. What essential step are they performing?

A Grill Master’s Trick:
At a summer barbecue, the cook brushes a rich, smoky sauce onto the ribs sizzling on the grill. This step helps the meat stay tender and absorb the delicious marinade. What is the name of this process?

A Baker’s Touch:
In a warm bakery, a pastry chef carefully applies a glossy layer of butter to a fresh batch of croissants just before baking. This simple act enhances the flavor and gives them a perfect golden finish. What is the chef doing?

First Guess: Charm

First Guess: Charm

Entering "Charm" as our first guess, we quickly get a little insight. The letter A is in the correct position, while the others are all incorrect. That’s a promising start, as it gives us a solid foundation to build on. Now, I often like to pivot to a word that tests a few more vowels and provides additional information. In this case, "Audio" seems like a solid choice. It allows me to check three of the four remaining classic vowels—O, U, and I—all at once. We haven’t tried that strategy in a few weeks, so why not? Let’s see what "Audio" reveals.

Second Guess: Audio

Second Guess: Audio

Well, that was not quite as revealing as I’d hoped. "Audio" returns no new letters, meaning we’ve ruled out O, U, and I. This means unless there’s a double A, it’s very likely that E is present somewhere. My mind starts turning toward words that might include E and A together. Words like "Great" might work, but we already tested R. Instead, I start thinking about words with an "EAT" combination.

I consider "Pleat" and "Sweat." Both seem viable, but "Sweat" has the added bonus of testing S and W, which could give us crucial insight. If the A remains green while the E is gray, that tells us we might have a second A elsewhere. Let’s take a gamble and go with "Sweat."

Third Guess: Sweat

Third Guess: Sweat

Now, this is interesting! "Sweat" doesn’t give us the answer, but it does provide valuable information. We now have four correct letters—S, E, A, and T—but all are out of position. This suggests the A is likely in the second spot, and the T may belong in the front.

With this new information, I try rearranging the letters. Could the word be "Taste"? That seems like a very plausible answer. The positioning looks right, and the word itself feels like a natural fit. I decide to lock in "Taste" and see if we’re on the right track.

Fourth Guess: Taste

Fourth Guess: Taste

Close, but not quite! The letters are all there, but the order is still off. Now, I have to take a closer look. The remaining possibilities start narrowing down. "Paste" is an obvious choice, given the letters we have. I mentally check my options—words like "Haste" and "Waste" are already eliminated due to previously tested letters. That means "Paste" has to be the answer, right? Let’s go for it.

Fifth Guess: Paste

Fifth Guess: Paste

Oh no! Another close call, but still not the solution. Now I really need to slow down and carefully evaluate my remaining choices. I scan through the alphabet, ruling out letters one by one. It’s not Q, Y, F, G, J, K, L, C, X, or V. That leaves me with only one viable option: "Baste."

Now, I’ve got that familiar feeling of tension creeping in. This is my sixth and final guess, and I really don’t want to break my streak. I take a deep breath and lock it in.

Sixth Guess: Baste

Sixth Guess: Baste

Yes! The answer is "Baste." That was a nerve-wracking finish, but we pulled it off. When you’re down to your last guess, there’s always that lingering doubt—"What if I missed something?"—but thankfully, today, we got it right just in time. It was a bit of an exciting rollercoaster, but that’s what makes Wordle so much fun.

Conclusion

That was quite the puzzle! A tricky letter arrangement made for a tense finish, but we got there in the end. I hope you all managed to solve it as well. Let me know how you did in the comments!

And remember—tomorrow is Friday, which means it’s Fearless Friday. That means we’ll be taking on an extra challenge by using a suboptimal starting word for an added layer of fun. Tomorrow’s word? "Yummy." That’s right, we’re kicking things off with something delicious.

Join me tomorrow, and let’s see what kind of challenge awaits!
