First Guess: "Clasp"
Result: The letters C and L are not in the word, but A, S and P are present, though misplaced.
Analysis: This is a great start! We now know that A, S, and P are in the word, just not in their current spots.
Second Guess: "Paste"
Result: The letters P, A, S, and E are all present but still misplaced.
Analysis: Now, we have four of the five letters but none in the correct spots. This narrows things down significantly!
Third Guess: A 50/50 Decision
At this point, I realized that the solution was likely a combination of S, P, A, and E, but I hadn’t tried S at the beginning, P in the second position, or E in the middle. This led me to two possibilities:
"Spear"
"Speak"
Both fit the pattern, and I had four guesses remaining, so I felt confident. The first option that came to mind was "spear," so I went with it.
The Winning Word: "Spear"
Result: Success! "Spear" was the correct answer!
Reflection: This was a quick solve, and I got the 50/50 choice right on my first attempt. That’s always satisfying!
