Today's Wordle No. 1432 Hints & Answer for May 21, 2025

Hello everyone! It’s Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and I’m back again to take on another Wordle puzzle together. Today’s starting word is brought to us by SadieSimone7460, who suggested:

“Maybe you could start with maybe.”

And I must say, Sadie—that’s a wonderful pick! It’s clever, thematic, and as far as I can remember, we haven’t used it before. That makes it a refreshing start to today’s puzzle and continues a week full of great community suggestions. So, let’s jump right in.

Today's Wordle Hints – May 21, 2025

General Hints:

  • The word contains two A’s.

  • This word might cause a bit of panic—especially if it goes off while you’re asleep.

  • Think “wake-up call” in both the literal and metaphorical sense.

Example-Based Hints:

An Unexpected Wake-Up: You’re deep in sleep when suddenly a loud ringing jolts you awake. What just went off?

Office Jitters: You arrive at work only to realize the security system didn’t disarm—and the loud sound that follows? Yep, that’s today’s word.

Fight or Flight: This word triggers a primal reaction. Whether it’s a fire drill or a warning on your phone, it signals that something urgent needs your attention.

Let’s Solve Today’s Wordle

First Guess: Maybe

A bold and effective opener! From maybe, we learn that both M and A are in the word but in the wrong places. Not bad at all—this gives us good direction. And honestly, there’s something poetic about starting today’s puzzle with a little “maybe.”

Second Guess: Smart

I had a hunch that the M and A might pair well together in a more calculated guess. Smart seemed like, well, a smart choice. It also shifted M and A into new positions while introducing some fresh letters. The result? We now know the M is locked in at the final position, and A is not in the second spot.

Third Guess: Charm

I considered a few words—swarm, alarm, charm. Since swarm was ruled out (we’d already tested ‘S’), I decided to go with charm first. It helped test both ‘C’ and ‘H’ while keeping A and M in plausible positions. Unfortunately, charm wasn’t the solution, and none of the new letters hit.

Fourth Guess: Alarm

Now we’re narrowing in. With M confirmed at the end, A somewhere early, and charm eliminated, alarm became the top suspect. It’s a word with double A’s, a strong opener with ‘A’, and a logical fit given all the clues we’ve uncovered. And when I submitted it...

Today’s Wordle Answer: Alarm

Yes! That’s the one—alarm is today’s Wordle solution. A great word with high-stakes energy. Whether it’s waking up in the morning, hearing a siren, or getting an emergency alert, this word is built to make your heart race just a little.

Tomorrow’s Word

Looking ahead to Thursday, May 22, we’re going with something a bit playful and unique: oodle. That’s right—O-O-D-L-E. A whimsical word we’re pretty sure hasn’t been used before. It continues this week’s unofficial theme of trying new, creative starters.

As always, we appreciate your starting word suggestions. We’re collecting June-themed words now, so if you’ve got one that screams summer, sun, or seasonal fun—send it in!

Thanks again for playing along, and be sure to come back tomorrow for more daily Wordle fun!
