Missed? Yesterday Wordle Hints and Answer for March 5, 2025
First Guess: UPSET
Entering UPSET provides some valuable information. The letter T is in the correct position, and the letter E is present but not where it needs to be. With this information in mind, it’s time to strategize the next guess.
Second Guess: EVENT
With the knowledge that T is correctly placed and E is elsewhere in the word, I start considering words that end in T while shifting E around. After some thought, I settle on EVENT. This word serves two purposes: it allows me to test a different placement for E, and it also confirms whether there is a second E in the word.
This turns out to be a solid move. The E is now confirmed to be in the correct position, and I also learn that there is only one E in the word. This eliminates any possibility of words containing a double E, which helps narrow things down considerably.
Third Guess: CLEAT
Now that I know where the E belongs and that T is in the correct spot, I start thinking about possible words that fit. My first instinct is CHEST, but the S from my original guess has already been ruled out. Then I consider CHEAT, but I begin to question whether testing an L might be a smarter move. The word CLEAT seems like the best choice, as L is a common letter and could provide more information.
Entering CLEAT brings great progress. The L is now confirmed in the correct position, and the A has also joined the party, though it is not yet in the right place. With these new insights, I can see that the structure of the word is starting to form. The only logical arrangement left is A L E _ T.
Fourth Guess: ALERT
At this stage, the answer becomes clear. The only word that fits the known pattern is ALERT. After a quick double-check to make sure I’m not missing anything, I confidently enter it.
Success! The Wordle answer for today is ALERT. This puzzle was another great example of taking a methodical approach, evaluating each guess carefully, and making smart decisions based on the information available.
