Today Wordle Hints and Answer for March 7, 2025

Hello everyone! It’s Friday, March 7, 2025, and that means one thing—Fearless Friday is here and it’s time once again to take on today’s Wordle puzzle with an extra challenge.

What is Fearless Friday?

For those who may not be familiar, Fearless Friday is a special tradition where I intentionally make Wordle harder for myself. Instead of using a strong, well-balanced starting word, I pick something deliberately suboptimal. This often means a word with repeating letters, which reduces the number of unique letters I can test on my first guess.

On top of that, I also turn on Hard Mode in the settings. This means that whenever I uncover a correct letter, I am required to use it in every subsequent guess. Hard Mode removes the ability to strategically test words just for information, making each decision much more crucial.

Today’s Fearless Friday starting word comes from Jean Blemings 5352, who suggested "Emmer." This word is a fantastic choice because it not only has repeating letters but also limits my ability to explore a wider range of letters early on. With two M’s and two E’s, I’m essentially testing only three unique letters in my first attempt, making it a true challenge.

Today's Wordle Hints:

General Hints:

  • The word has two vowels.

  • One letter is repeated.

  • It is a common five-letter word.

  • It is often used when talking about groups of people, especially in an organized setting.

Example-Based Hints:

  • Imagine a group of soldiers marching together, following orders and moving as a unit. This word is often used to describe such a group.

  • Think of Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts—they are organized into smaller groups that work together during activities and missions. What do you call these groups?

  • Picture a parade where a well-trained unit of police officers or military personnel marches in formation. Each organized unit is called a ____.

  • If you're watching a nature documentary, you might see a large group of monkeys moving together. The word you’re looking for is also used to describe such a group of animals.

Missed? Yesterday Wordle Hints and Answer for March 6, 2025

First Guess: Emmer

Emmer

With the Fearless Friday rule in place, I type in Emmer as my first guess. Usually, with a word like this, I expect to get very little information. However, I get a small stroke of luck—the letter R is in the word, but in the wrong place. This means I have something to work with as I move forward.

Even though I didn’t uncover any vowels other than E, having at least one letter confirmed is better than a complete miss. Now, I need to think carefully about my next move.

Second Guess: Round

At this stage, my goal is to test new consonants while also moving the R around to find its correct position. I decide to go with Round, as this word allows me to check two additional vowels (O and U) along with three fresh consonants.

Second Guess: Round

After submitting my guess, I see that the letter O is also in the word. More importantly, the R is still out of position, which means I haven’t found its correct spot yet. This is useful information because it narrows down the possibilities.

Third Guess: Frost

With both R and O confirmed in the word, I now want to get a better idea of where they belong. I also need to introduce new consonants that could help me solve the puzzle faster. Frost seems like a great choice because it tests three new consonants (F, S, and T) while also keeping the known letters in play.

Third Guess: Frost

After making my guess, I get a major breakthrough—R and O are now locked into place, and the letter T is also in the word, though still in the wrong position. This means I have successfully identified three of the five letters in the answer. Now, I just need to figure out where the T belongs.

Fourth Guess: Broth

With T still needing to be placed correctly, I immediately think of words where it appears later. Broth stands out as a strong possibility because it places T at the end while also eliminating B and H from contention.

Fourth Guess: Broth

I enter my guess, and the result is a huge step forward. The T is finally locked into place, meaning I now have R, O, and T confirmed in their correct positions. This leaves me with only two missing letters to figure out.

Fifth Guess : Troop vs. Troll

Now comes the most nerve-wracking part of the puzzle. With only two guesses left, I need to make sure I don’t waste them. Looking at the letters I have, I see two strong possibilities: Troop and Troll.

Unfortunately, neither of these words helps confirm the other. If I guess Troop and it’s wrong, I’ll still be left with the possibility of Troll, meaning I’ll have to rely on luck for my final attempt.

After weighing my options, I decide to take the plunge and try Troop first. My heart races as I hit enter. The screen pauses for a moment…

And then—victory!

The answer to today’s Wordle is Troop, and I manage to solve it in five guesses. This was definitely a close call, but I’m relieved that I didn’t miss any hidden possibilities along the way.

This was one of the more intense Fearless Friday challenges I’ve done. With two possible answers near the end, I had to rely on instinct and a little bit of luck to make the right choice. That’s what makes Fearless Friday so exciting—you never know when you’ll end up in a high-stakes guessing game.

Tomorrow’s Starting Word: Fudgy

With Friday’s challenge completed, it’s time to look ahead to tomorrow. Saturday’s starting word will be "Fudgy." If you’ve been following my Wordle journey for a while, you know this is one of my favorite words to start with. It should be a fun way to kick off the weekend!
