Well, everyone, it's Saturday, March 1st, 2025, and it's time to play some Wordle. Since we're beginning a new month, I thought it would be fun to use March-themed words throughout the month.
Recently, Nash on Wheels pointed out that I mistakenly said it was March 18th back on February 18th—oops! Guess I had March on my mind a little too early. But today, we’re officially in March, and what better way to start than by using the word March itself as our first guess?
Today's Wordle Hints:
General Hints:
- The word has two vowels.
- There is no repeated letter.
- It is a common five-letter verb.
- It describes a type of movement or position in the air.
Example-Based Hints:
- A drone or a hummingbird can do this in the air.
- If you hold your hand just above a surface without touching it, you are doing this.
- A helicopter can do this when staying in place without landing.
Today's Wordle Answer:
The First Guess: "March"
At first, my brain immediately wanted to try "Three," but that wouldn’t work since we already tested the R in the middle. I had to force myself to think of alternatives. "Heart" seemed promising but had an A, which was already ruled out. Instead, I decided to focus on placing the H at the beginning and the R at the end.
The Winning Guess: "Hover"
Hover was the answer!
That's right—another two-guess solve!
Honestly, this streak is getting a little unbelievable. This marks the third day in a row that I’ve solved the puzzle in just two guesses. I promise there’s no trickery here—I actually enjoy spending time on the puzzle, but lately, the luck has been incredible!
Looking back at the board, the logical progression made sense. Once we ruled out certain positions for the R, the only viable structure left was H-blank-blank-blank-R, and "Hover" was a natural fit.
Final Thoughts:
With March off to a flying start, let’s see if the luck continues. For tomorrow’s puzzle, I’ll be starting with Apple—which feels appropriate for springtime.
Don’t forget to comment if you enjoy following along with these puzzles. And as always, keep those starting word suggestions coming! See you tomorrow for another round of Wordle!
